Bergen Fencing Club is one of the US leading Saber fencing clubs. We have fencers of all ages and abilities, from 5-60+ and from beginner to Olympian; new members of any level – including absolute beginners on our regular Beginner classes – are very welcome. We are very proud of our successes in competitions both in the US and Internationally.
Head Coach Oleg Stetsiv: Saber Coach at Princeton University, an “A”-rated fencer, 5 times NAC Veteran Champion. Oleg also works as a referee, officiating events both in the U.S. and abroad. We have a highly experienced COACHING TEAM!

Open Bergen Pre-Nationals Winter Camp

Suitable for competitive fencers of ALL levels in preparation for the US National Fencing Championships, Regional, NCAA and High School Fencing competitions. Fencers include Team USA members, World and National champions, NCAA college, and international athletes. Private lessons available upon request.

Beginner/Intermediate Camp

Fencing is said to be a game of physical chess. It is a game of strategy and focus. It is a sport that builds agility, balance and coordination, and imparts values like respect, resilience and sportsmanship.
During our Beginner/Intermediate Camp, fencers have a great opportunity to start or improve their skills. This camp is open to any and all fencers regardless of skill level. Footwork, drills, general fitness improvement, bouting. What To Bring:

  • lunch (Bergen will provide water. A refrigerator and microwave are available for personal use)
  • extra T-shirts
  • small towel
  • complete fencing uniform (including under arm protector, knickers and high socks)
  • 2-3 working weapons and body cords
